My father in law was Carl, we were friends too, luckily for me! I enjoyed his company, all three of his grandchildren are artistic, two of them make a living selling their art
As a commercial artist just prior to World War II, Martin received a basic grounding in techniques which he found of great value after the war during four years' study in fine arts at the Jepson Art Institute, Los Angeles.
His style has won wide acclaim. He won many awards at art festivals, and the prestige of one-man shows at such art centers as the De Young Museum, the Rosicrucian Gallery, and others.
"An artist must be both a creator and a performer."
